There is no denying that youth unemployment is a critical challenge which must be faced through collective efforts. The Centre for Development and Enterprise (CDE) has recently released a report on ‘Routes into Formal Employment: Public and private assistance to young job seekers’. The Millennium Development Goals in Africa
The deadline for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the year 2015, is fast approaching. The 8 goals covering education, poverty, health, environment, gender issues and others were agreed to by all 193 UN member states. This article sheds some light on these targets in the African context and shows that many of them may in fact be achieved.
